Biography:

Born in İstanbul, Jülide Gündüz started her flute studies at H.Ü Ankara State Conservatory in 1985.  After graduating from D.E.Ü State Conservatory as a student of Cahit Koparal, she went to Paris and continued  her education at National Music School of Meudon (E.N.M) as a student of François Veilhan. She was awarded first prize in both flute performance and chamber music. In 2000, she received “diplome de perfectionnement” in flute. In 1998, she was awarded first prize at the Nerini Music Contest. In 2000, she attended the Leopold Bellan Fondation Music Competition and was awarded second prize.  Between 2001-2009, she played at Dokuz Eylül University Symphony Orchestra as principal flutist. She premiered several pieces of the flute chamber music repertoire in Turkey. In 2008, she received her Proficiency of art degree from Dokuz Eylül University , where she worked as a flute instructor and co-director of the Center for Music Performance and Research. She became an Associate Professor in 2010. Currently, she works as a flute instructor at ITU Turkish Music State Conservatory and ITU MIAM.
